I work with a strong belief that what people believe can hinder progress and shape who they become. Focusing on mindset is crucial because the mindset is the heart of progress. Sometimes, the way we think can stunt our progression at work and at home. I am highly interested in helping small business leaders, children, teens, and adults strengthen their intrapersonal and interpersonal mindset, happiness, and overall success through consulting and creating unique and inspiring programs, workshops, and events that empower. Seeing organizations and people in the community successful and full of hope and happiness is all the more reasons why I am devoted to consulting and creating opportunities that promote positive change and outcomes.
Natasha began her career in Human Resources in 2002. Natasha worked at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital as a Sr. Human Resource Specialist for seven incredible years. Consistently propelled toward a higher cause, Natasha devised a plan, gathered committed volunteers, and took an enormous leap of faith. Natasha resigned from her dream job to start a support group and ministry for parents who were unemployed or had low-income and needed help with dependable, safe, quality childcare. The program offered free childcare for parents who were unemployed and affordable childcare for parents who were struggling financially and didn't qualify for government assistance due to earning a little over the maximum amount to be eligible for help. The ministry provided Spiritual support and, through partnerships, offered a variety of free resources.
Natasha was eager to help parents with their children because she understood the support that parents needed—being raised in a single-family home, access to mentors, youth development opportunities, and outlets were slim to none. Natasha's background in Human Resources and a strategic plan and faith left her fully equipped for success in the execution of her work in the community. Learning is a neverending journey for Natasha, and she continues to seek knowledge and cutting-edge tools to aid her mission to be a resource for others.
In 2011, Natasha and her Husband, Markeith Tennison, worked together and developed new pathways to offer purpose-driven programs and workshops that brought children, teens, and adults together, while staying committed to the origin of supporting parents. Gathering Outreach Community Services (GOCS) a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization was born and is responsible for giving hope and inspiration mentally and financially to hundreds of families in communities. Natasha earned an A.A. in Religion, B.S. in Communications, an M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and is licensed by the State of Texas as a qualified Childcare Director. Natasha became a Certified Life and Career Coach, a Master Neuro-Linguistic Programmer Practioner, and is currently working on her Ph.D. in I/O Psychology and is a Business and Personal Consultant and Coach in her local community.
Natasha serves as a full-time CEO of Gathering Outreach Community Services. Conjointly, Natasha is also the founder and Executive Director of Gathering Kids, an award-winning, recognized after school mentorship program that builds self-esteem and character in children. Natasha brings her family-inspired background and talent in performing arts and scriptwriting to offer students a creative way to develop their self-esteem and confidence. Gathering Kids now offers seven programs to children and teens. Natasha's work has been recognized by Pearland Chamber of Commerce and Alvin Independent School District, who thought enough of her programs and organization to deem as their Community Partner.
With over 15 years of experience in human resources, community, and public service, Natasha beleives in the combined power of community togetherness and love. Through many challenges along the way, Natasha has developed an approach that is both limitless and ambitious, working with a tenacity that is flexible and capable of overcoming obstacles.
